A Strangely Isolated Place followed in 2003, which was much closer to shoegaze than U.K. techno. Schnauss has besides had his work force in a number of other projects, including Hexaquart (minimal techno-house) and Ethereal 77 (drum'n'bass), in addition to technology work for a number of other artists.

R Kelly acquitted

It took six years to bring him to trial but less than 24 hours for a jury to find R Kelly not guilty of having sex with an underage girl. The Grammy award-winning singer dabbed tears from his eyes and thanked Jesus as he was cleared of all 14 counts relating to child pornography at Cook County court in Chicago on Friday. The charges related to a video that prosecutors alleged showed Kelly, now 41, engaging in numerous sex acts with an underage girl. Both the singer and the unnamed girl, who is now 23, deny their involvement.

One of the prosecution witnesses who claimed she had had a three-way sexual encounter with Kelly and the girl in question was labelled an extortionist by the defence, who claimed she sought money from Kelly in exchange for her silence. The prosecution also claimed it was a near impossibility that the tape had been tampered with, while the defence showed the jury their own version of the tape in question after they had doctored it in an attempt to bring the authenticity of the tape into question.

In the end, it appeared to come down to whether the jury was convinced it was the underage girl who appeared in the video. One juror told reporters: "You want to be 100% sure it's Kelly and (the alleged victim). What we had wasn't enough." Another said: "All of us felt very much the grayness of this case." Associated Press report that a vote taken just a few hours before the acquittal had seven jurors voting not guilty and five voting guilty. None of the five jurors who spoke to reporters after the verdict wanted to be identified. The singer would have faced a jail sentence of up to 15 years if found guilty.

Following his acquittal, a spokesman for the singer released a statement saying: "When all the facts came out in court, he would be cleared of these terrible charges. All he wants to do is move forward and put it behind him."

R Kelly is due to release a new album in July.

Priding themselves on organism difficult to classify, Virginia's Far-Less create their case-by-case sound by conflux elements of stone, metal, and pop together with a positive edge. The band's v members -- Brandon Welch (vocals), Ray Felts (drums), Joseph Powers (bass), Jordan Powers (guitar/vocals), and Mark Karsten (guitar) -- title influences across the circuit card from Shadows Fall to, oddly sufficiency, Huey Lewis. They first base formed in 2001 as a trinity with Felts and the brothers Powers advent together following the dying of other region bands. They independently released the Emerge EP that same year, and fan-turned-vocalist Brandon Welch entered the lineup before long later on.

A more sonically focussed EP, Apossibility, was released in 2002, and Far-Less continued to build a whole fan base across Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. About a year after Welch's arrival, the grouping yielded its commencement uncut, Broken Hearts Unite, issued on Silent Uproar Records and produced by Jamie King. Label heads showed interest upon the album's spillage, and the guys wound up signing with Tooth & Nail in the go down of 2004. Not wasting away whatever time, they quickly released the Turn to the Bright EP that November, a more mature songwriting endeavour that therefore brought brocaded expectations for February 2006's Everyone Is Out to Get Us. A Toast to Bad Taste followed in 2007.

EastEnders star missed Palmer & Owen

Former 'EastEnders' actress Natalie Cassidy has said that she missed working with soap stars Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen during their absence from Albert Square.
The 24-year-old star, who recently left her role as Sonia Fowler in the soap, told The Sun that she would have loved to be on set when the two stars returned.
Cassidy said: "It was frustrating they came back after I left. It would have been great to work with Patsy again."

However, the actress didn't rule out a return to the soap in the future, saying: "Bianca and Ricky have been gone for nine years. They've gone out, done their stuff and come back. Maybe in nine years I might go back."

When the Southern-flavored political party rap called crunk took over urban wireless in 2004, Miami rapper Pitbull decided it was sentence to seek stardom. The fashion Pitbull sees it, "crunk ain't nothin' but bass voice music slowed down." Miami bass music, that is, the tolerant Pitbull grew up on. His parents were first-generation Cuban immigrants wHO didn't let their boy forget nearly his culture. They needful him to con the deeds of Cuban poet José Martí, and Pitbull understood the power of words right away. Pitbull got involved in the game himself when he started appearing on Miami mixtapes. A group meeting with Irv Gotti resulted in zilch, just before long Luther Campbell called on the rapper to appear on his "Popsicle" unmarried. Conchords included in Emmy shortlist

BREAKING NEWS: Kiwi comedy show Flight of the Conchords has been included in a shortlist of the top 10 comedy shows vying for television's highest honours at the Emmy Awards.

Flight of the Conchords - created by Kiwi folk-comedy duo Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement - is included in the shortlist for best comedy show, also featuring heavyweights Entourage, Weeds and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

For the first time ever, Emmy organisers unveiled a list of the top 10 comedies and dramas competing to be nominated for Emmy awards.

Traditionally, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences does not reveal its shortlist of the 20 shows under consideration for best drama and best comedy series nominations, which this year will be announced on July 17.

The list of 10 drama finalists includes one previous Emmy winner for best drama series, the castaway thriller Lost, and three other past nominees - ABC's courtroom saga Boston Legal and two medical shows, the Fox hit House and ABC favorite Grey's Anatomy.

The critically acclaimed but low-rated series Friday Night Lights also made the cut, as did the serial killer drama Dexter.

Rounding out the roster of drama finalists were four more cable shows - new period piece Mad Men, the legal drama Damages, historical romp The Tudors and the final season of The Wire.

The top 10 comedies feature six programs by broadcast networks, 30 Rock and The Office, as well as bawdy sitcom Two and a Half Men, animated series Family Guy and newcomer Pushing Daisies.

HBO dominated the four cable TV comedies on the short list with veteran programs Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage, as well as recent arrival Flight of the Conchords.

They are joined by Weeds, about a pot-dealing mum.

The top 10 shortlists were determined by votes from the entire television academy, and now go to "blue ribbon" panels of academy members who will judge the contenders.

Results from the academy voting and the panel voting are then averaged to determine the five nominees for each category.

The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 21, and will also include awards for TV actors, actresses, mini-series, made-for-TV movies and a host of other honours.

McKenzie and Clement are currently in America working on the second season of Flight of the Conchords.
